Isager Tvinni PRODUCT DESRIPTION ISAGER TVINNI was developed by Marianne Isager together with the Danish spinning mill, ”Skive Uldspinderi” (EN: Henrichsen’s Woll Mill). It consists of the finest merino quality, virgin wool, which is first cut lambswool. The long and fine fibres make a very durable quality. We describe this as our finest yarn, which wears out beautifully. A sweater knitted in Tvinni has a long life if treated with care. As this is a two ply yarn it is suitable for knitting stocking stitch in the round and due to its lightness, it can be used in various combinations, alone or together with other qualities, in e.g. Fair Isle and Norwegian knitting. SPECIFICATIONS 100% wool Meterage: 510 m in 100 g Two ply yarn Dyed and spun in Denmark Fingering weight – compare weights here Henrichsen’s Wool Mill has for more than 100 years gathered hanks of yarn by hand. Every skein weighs 50 g, and, in each hank, there is two skeins = 100 g. When removing the label, it is easy to divide the hank into two skeins = 2 x 50 g NOTE: 1 pcs = 50 grams. The pictures shows hanks of 100 grams. HOW TO WASH ISAGER TVINNI Wool should be washed by hand unless you have a washing machine that uses lukewarm water (below 28° Celsius) and has a very gentle wool cycle. To avoid felting, please observe the following: Use very little soap and use a wool mark approved detergent. Be careful to keep the same temperature during the entire washing and rinsing process (not above 28° Celsius). After washing and rinsing place the garment in a washing bag and spin it lightly in a washing machine. Then place the garment flat on towel and leave to dry. Woolen garments do not necessarily need washing very often. Airing outside in damp weather will often be sufficient. Yarns from cotton and yarns made from mixed fibres containing flax and bamboo could be washed in warm water, but still we recommend the same washing instructions as for wool.
